Black & White Limited Edition Part II: Vauxhall Corsa

Coincidently, Peugeot isn't the only carmaker launching a 'Black & White' edition of one of its models, so is Vauxhall that just announced a new special version of its Corsa supermini.

In Vauxhall's case, the new Corsa Black & White Limited Edition model combines a glacier white bodywork with black 17-inch twin spoke alloy wheels and detailing, topped off with a black sapphire roof.

Completing the look is a VXR styling kit comprising front and rear lower spoilers, side skirts and new roof spoiler while the car also sits on a lowered suspension.

The black and white theme is continued inside with the piano black centre console contrasted by the white air vents. The alloy sports pedals and Limited Edition badging round off the interior upgrades.

Standard specification on the limited edition Corsa includes air condition, fog lights, cruise control and CD changer with MP3 format including auxiliary connectivity.

UK buyers can choose from two engines, an 85PS 1.2-liter petrol, or the 75PS 1.3-liter CDTi ecoFLEX turbo diesel, with combined fuel consumption cycles of 53.3 and 65.7mpg UK respectively.

Prices for the Corsa Black & White range from £13,995 for the 3-door 1.2, to £15,400 for the 5-door ecoFLEX diesel.

Corsa Eyes World Cup Fans, Presents England Soccer Team Decal Kit

Following in the footsteps of sister company Opel that recently launched a special edition version of the Corsa dedicated to the German national football team, Vauxhall has announced the release of a set of England flag decals for the three-door Corsa.

The kit, which includes the same style decals that flow from the Corsa's headlamps right the way along its sides with a pair of matching mirror caps as the German-market model, is available from Vauxhall retailers for £149 fully fitted and including VAT.

Opel Releases Corsa Football Championship Edition Dedicated to the German National Team

To celebrate the 2010 FIFA World Cup in South Africa that will kick off in Johannesburg's Soccer City Stadium on June 11th, Opel has released a limited edition version of its Corsa supermini dedicated to the German national soccer team. For the record the Germans were drawn into Group D where they will play their three first round matches against Australia, Serbia and Ghana.

But back to the Corsa, the German-market "Football Championship Edition" features the traditional colors of the country's soccer team combining a white paint job with stripes that run from the hood to the rear quarter window and also cover the exterior mirrors, and a set of 17-inch alloy wheels finished in black.

The special edition Corsa also gets dark tinted headlights and tail lights, sport seats, aluminum pedals, leather steering wheel and center console in piano black.

Air conditioning, stereo CD radio with steering wheel controls, electric windows and central locking with remote control are standard.

Prices for the new Corsa Football Championship Edition start from €15,160 for 87HP 1.4-liter Ecotec model.

Opel Corsa OPC: Nürburgring Edition Spy Shots

Here are some spy shots of what is believed to be the Opel Corsa OPC Nürburgring Edition special.

Based on the standard OPC, this should basically be the Corsa version of the Astra-based 2008 Nürburgring Edition model. That means it'll most likely come with the standard Corsa OPC's 192-horsepower (141 kW) / 170 lb-ft (230 Nm) turbocharged 1.6 liter mill and extra add-ons.

Other baubles to expect are upgraded Brembo brakes, Recaro leather seating, carbon-look decor for the interior, unique lightweight wheels, and maybe even a tuned suspension.

The front appears to get a new lip spoiler and the rear valence some big exhaust tips pushed to the sides (instead of the standard version's center piece).

Throw on some fancy graphics to break up all that yellow and it'll be a cute little racer.
